OPOPANAX 20gAroma: Balsamic, aromatic, sweet.
One of the earliest references to incense material in the Bible. It describes opopanax, also known as perfumed bdelium, bissabol (India), mukul or muql (Arabia), habbak hadi (Somalia), false myrrh, sweet myrrh, and coarse myrrh.
It is likely that opopanax was the material recorded in Egyptian formulas as ntyw, and the sweet myrrh described by Pliny.
Opopanax can be used in much the same way as Myrrh, that is, it is burned to purify and lift the vibration of any area and creates peace. It can be burned with Frankincense or other resins, helping to increase the power of other incenses. Can be used in meditation, healing and consecration rituals involving people or objects.
