ASH TREE LEAVES 10g

In Norse mythology, the World Tree Yggdrasil is commonly held to be an ash tree; while the first man, Ask, was formed from an ash tree. Snakes are supposed to be repelled by ash leaves or a circle drawn by an ash branch. In Cheshire, it was believed that ash could be used to cure warts or rickets. In Greek mythology, the Meliae were nymphs of the ash, just as dryads were nymphs of the oak. Many Hellenic rites and myth involve ash trees. The ash also exudes a sugary sap that was supposed to have been fermented to create the Norse ‘Mead of Inspiration’.

Because of its particular association with both the Norse and Greek mythologies, Ash is a powerful talisman for good luck. Is also said to attract love when carried in a red or pink mojo bag
