Saturday 23rd March
Mabon, also known as the Autumn Equinox is the mid harvest season & a good time for ‘pruning’ back the spent. The Autumn Equinox is also symbolically a time of perfect balance - - the Sun sits over the Equator, & Night & Day & Light & Dark are equal in length. So it is at this time that we work ritually to metaphorically cut out the dead wood & bring balance to our lives.
Clothe and adorn yourself using the season as inspiration – from the rustic tonings of red dust, autumn leaves and flaxen grains & grasses, to the symbology of the balance of light & dark. Bring along your drum or other musical instrument & join in the ritual & energy raising as we symbolically re-enact the interplay of the light & dark.
All contributions of seasonal foods, fun, music & magic welcome!
